Additional Information

Dr. Elizabeth Claar is the organist at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids, Mich. She also teaches first-year music theory at Hope College in Holland, Mich., and she performs frequently as a soloist and an accompanist. In July 2008, she directed an AGO Pipe Organ Encounter (organ camp) for teenagers at Hope College, and she is organizing another POE for June 2012. She spent the 2006-2007 school year in Armenia, where she experienced Armenian culture and researched Armenian organ music. 

She studied organ with James Kibbie and Robert Glasgow and harpsichord with Edward Parmentier during her doctoral studies at The University of Michigan.
