What can students expect from your classes? From your division?
Students can and should expect
outstanding faculty who are experts in their field of study. The faculty in the
Kinesiology Division gives it their all in training students for their future
endeavors. Preparing our students to impact their world for Jesus Christ is
what motivates us in everything we do.
Of all the classes that you may teach, which
one are you most passionate about?
Although I enjoy all my Wellness
classes with my freshmen, I am most passionate about my upper level physical
education method classes. This is where my students learn how to become
teachers, and I love it. I also enjoy observing my student teachers as they are
representatives of Cornerstone and of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Advice for College Students
If you enjoy building into the lives
of students in a way other than the traditional classroom, investigate our
physical education major and enjoy an outstanding profession reaching students
for Jesus Christ.

Where were you born or raised?
I am from Grand Rapids, Mich. — lived here all my life.
Interests and Passions Outside of Teaching
I enjoy watching our students in their athletic endeavors, traveling with my friends, and continuing my mom's legacy of a life dedicated to Jesus Christ.
Mentors/Role Models
Who is a person from your field of study of whom you identify with
and why?
Gloria Baker was and is an outstanding
person in this field. I also admired and wanted to emulate my junior high and
high school P.E. teachers.
Favorite Inspirational Quote or Bible Verse
I love reading my Bible. If I had to
pick one verse, today it would be Jeremiah 29:11-13. Tomorrow it would be
another one.
Favorite Thing About Cornerstone University
I enjoy the students and the godly
people I work with. It’s great to be a part of this Christian community. To God
be the Glory….Great things He has done.
