Media (Film or Audio)
The media major offer two degree tracks: film or video.
Light … Camera … Action! Film and television are some of the most important methods for communication and change on our planet. Great audio/visual storytelling can transcend language and culture to influence us on many levels, both consciously and subconsciously. The media production degree at Cornerstone University instructs students in the hands-on basis of production workflow – pre-production scripting and organization, through cinematography and production to post-production visual and audio editing. Whether you have a passion to work with church media or you want to be “salt and light” in the Hollywood system, Cornerstone has a place for you to create, build teams of like-minded people and develop your skills to make a difference in the world through media.
“It’s such a joy to work with our students and see the passion they have for using the media for Christ! I’m watching them grow in their script writing, pitching original ideas, announcing, shooting, editing, interviewing, reporting and producing. We have an active division of students who love what they are doing as they learn more about this crazy, wonderful, powerful world of media.”
Kathleen Sindorf, associate professor of communication and media studies
