Terra Firma, meaning “a firm foundation,” is a year-long combination of experiences, teaching times and activities required of all new Cornerstone University students. All new students spend one year in a small group of twelve students being discipled by a faculty or staff member and a sophomore student. This group will spend an intensive time from Arrival Day to the first day of classes focusing on learning more about following Christ, living in community, character and engaging culture.
Here are some activities you can expect during the first week of Terra Firma 2012:
- Different worship experiences
- Team building activities
- Meeting your Terra Firma group, your SCUF, and your CUF (you'll learn all about what that means when you arrive!)
- Several mosaics on Christ, Culture, and Community
- Grand Rapids area fun night!
- Cross-cultural ministry experiences
- A Terra Firma group project
- Hall meetings and community bonding
- Connecting with God and Spiritual Pathways
