Criteria for Accreditation
- The organization operates with integrity to ensure the fulfillment of its mission through structures and processes that involve the board, administration, faculty, staff, and students.
- The organization’s allocation of resources and its processes for evaluation and planning demonstrate its capacity to fulfill its mission, improve the quality of its education, and respond to future challenges and opportunities.
- The organization provides evidence of student learning and teaching effectiveness that demonstrates it is fulfilling its educational mission.
- The organization promotes a life of learning for its faculty, administration, staff, and students by fostering and supporting inquiry, creativity, practice, and social responsibility in ways consistent with its mission.
- As called for by its mission, the organization identifies its constituencies and serves them in ways both value.
CORNERSTONE UNIVERSITY is seeking comments from the public about the university in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency.
The College will undergo a comprehensive evaluation visit November 14-16, 2011 by a team representing The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
Federal regulations regarding higher education require that accrediting agencies allow for public comment on the qualifications of those institutions under consideration for continued accreditations.
Cornerstone University has been accredited by the Commission since 1977.

Comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of the institution or its academic programs. Comments must be in writing and signed; comments cannot be treated as confidential.
All comments must be received by September 1, 2011.
