Kyle Bos
Hometown: Hamilton, Mich.
Major: Bible and Youth Ministry

Cornerstone University was my first choice because of the diverse opportunities it offers both on and off campus. There are a plethora of ways to get involved in ministry and serve, and there are a lot of things to do off campus that don't cost a lot.

As a youth ministry major, I wanted to be able to get experience working with young people. I've had the opportunity to lead worship every Sunday night on campus for Evensong, a student-led service attended by about 600 students. I've also gained experience as a discipleship coordinator and an intern with the campus pastor.

There are so many churches and ministries nearby to get involved with and learn from. It's been great finding a church home and communicating ideas with other ministry leaders.

Cornerstone provides opportunities that I wouldn't have had at other schools.

Kyle has participated in the following opportunities while at Cornerstone:

  • completed an internship with Spiritual Formation department
  • leads and plays guitar for worship at Evensong, a student-led service
  • was a sherpa for Leadership Journey
  • volunteered with the Pregnancy Counseling Center and Equest
  • served as a discipleship coordinator
  • worked at the Grand Canyon during the summer with a national park ministry
