For me, Cornerstone has not just been a school and source for a great education, it has acted as an extension of my family. When trials come, the community joins together to pick each other up, not only in the small setting but in the larger community.

When I say this, it's is not just empty words, it comes from experience.

I've been through three knee surgeries while at Cornerstone. As I spent countless months in recovery and rehabilitation, my teammates, coaches and trainer surrounded me with encouragement and love. Classmates and professors joined them in their care and concern for me.

I believe this sense of community is present because of each person's love and common relationship with an uncommon savior. I may not have many things in common with every student, but because we share a love for Christ and a desire to serve him, we are connected.

Every day, I'm surrounded by people who inspire me to live for him.

Jill has been involved in the following campus opportunities while at Cornerstone:

  • serving as women's basketball team captain.
  • serving as a captain on the softball team.
  • working with local schools through Champions of Character.
  • attended a leadership retreat with the athletic department in Montana.
  • worked as a summer camp counselor for four years coaching and leading devotions once a week for girls in fourth grade through high school seniors.
