Dr. Rex M. Rogers, President of Cornerstone University"Making a Difference" is a commentary briefly applying unchanging Christian worldview principles to the rapidly changing issues of everyday life. The radio program is a 90 second feature for which Dr. Rogers has served as the voice since its inception.

The “Making a Difference” radio program has been aired on weekdays without interruption since the first recording January 22, 1993 at the WCSG studios, Cornerstone University, Grand Rapids, Michigan. The first radio program was entitled, “Making a Difference” and began with the sentence, “God expects Christians to make a difference as salt and light,” encouraging active and thoughtful Christian influence of their times based upon the words of Matthew chapter five.

For the week of July 21, 2003, “Making a Difference” was first syndicated nationally as a newspaper column, beginning with not quite 20 newspapers and quickly growing to more than 90 newspapers in 31 states. The first column was entitled, “Is Your Business Ethical?” Each newspaper column is approximately 300 words, and many columns are also aired on radio. Periodically, longer newspaper columns are written dealing with issues warranting the greater coverage. Dr. Rogers has also used “Making a Difference” as a venue for publishing book reviews on key, current books like, for example, Jim Wallis’s Why the Right Gets It Wrong and the Left Doesn’t Get It,, Edwin S. Gaustad’s Roger Williams, or Jimmy Carter’s Our Endangered Values: America’s Moral Crisis.
