Ancient Studies (BA)

This program focuses on Mediterranean Antiquity with an emphasis on ancient languages, along with the history of ancient Judaism, Greece, Rome and the early Church. It combines the depth of multiple academic disciplines to the study of these languages through courses in History, Linguistics, Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Rhetoric. This program will provide outstanding preparation for a number of fields in graduate studies. For example, it would be helpful for any of the following areas:

  • Archaeology
  • Biblical Studies (OT, IT, NT)
  • Classical Studies 
  • Education (primary & secondary)
  • History (Ancient Mediterranean, Medieval, or Ecclesiastical)

Bible (BA and BS)

This major equips students with an overview of Biblical content and theology. Students with a Bible major grow in their ability to read and interpret scripture and to engage the contemporary world. The Bible major is excellent preparation for students preparing for seminary, the mission field, or in combination with selected minors, preparation for graduate studies or ministry. Students who are recieving a Bachelor of Arts in another Major may also add Bible as a second major.

The Bible Major can prepare students for any of the following fields:

  • Seminary/Theological studies
  • Missions: combining appropriate minor
  • Graduate school: combining a variety of minors focusing on intended area of study.
  • Ministry: combining internships and a variety of minors focusing on areas of calling.

Inter-Cultural Studies (Missions) (BS)

In this program, you will be empowered with skills and resources to take the gospel of Jesus Christ across ethnic barriers to people in America and overseas.  In the process, you will be challenged to think, how can we address such global problems and change our world for Christ. It is a large challenge designed for students who passionately love God and are willing to devote their lives to following Christ.  Join us in the adventure in the Inter-Cultural Studies program at Cornerstone.

Youth Ministries (BS)

The purpose of the Youth Ministries major is to equip students for practical ministry in the Church and parachurch. It seeks to train students by providing a curriculum that is biblically based, theoretically sound, holistic, and useful. Intentional aspects of the program are to empower students to become innovative leaders, to seek emotional health, to pursue personal intergrity, to understand and engage the emerging postmodern culture and to mature spiritually.
