Business (Marketing)
Students who major in marketing will understand the roles and functions of marketing in modern society, as well as possess requisite conceptual and managerial skills for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies in multiple organizational settings.

- What can I do with this major?
- Our Business Marketing degree prepares students for graduate work in marketing as well as entry level managerial positions in varied industry settings.
- Why choose Business (Marketing) at Cornerstone?
- The marketing major is quite versatile. Students graduate with the tools necessary to perform at a high level in various marketing careers such as marketing management, brand management, advertising, sales, international marketing and marketing communications. Students are given multiple opportunities to apply classroom concepts via client organizations that include for profit and nonprofit organizations.
- Interesting classes I may take?
Marketing Management (MKT-350): The class allows students to work for an outside client, offering practical experience and networking.
Sales Management (MKT-358): Every business student benefits from learning how to sell themselves and/or their product. This is a highly practical and interactive course.
- What internships or partnerships are available with this program?
Internship positions are available in domestic and international firms, faith-based international organizations as well as overseas opportunities. An internship of six credit hours is required to allow you hands-on experience in positions where you will apply all you’ve learned in the classroom.
Past and present marketing internships include positions in local businesses such as Alticor, Steelcase, National City Bank, Fifth-Third Bank and major-faith based establishments.
