CELT

CELT Team

CELT is lead by professors who are committed to excellence in learning and teaching. These faculty members have demonstrated a strong desire to assist colleagues in teaching techniques and effective learning strategies. Programs and ideas are created, discussed and implemented by this dedicated team.

Four Focus Areas

The CELT Team determined four areas that the new center should address, including (1) assisting new faculty, (2) accessing support resources, (3) supporting established faculty, and (4) providing opportunities for faculty to explore and discuss the scholarship of teaching.

Assisting New Faculty

CELT provides orientation, mentoring, and instructional support to new and pre-tenure faculty. The center encourages faculty to consider how to incorporate CU initiatives (i.e. Christian Worldview, leadership development, and technology) into curriculum, classrooms, and culture.

Support Resources

CELT is a catalyst for faculty development by enhancing access to current support and development resources. In order to meet the mission of the center, CELT team members build relationships with individuals who represent the areas of assessment, technology, and facilities planning.

Supporting Established Faculty and Providing Opportunities

CELT offers a variety of opportunities for faculty development in the scholarship of teaching to enable student learning. The Center provides opportunities for faculty to come together across disciplines to share their teaching experiences and expertise with the goal of encouraging renewal and growth in teaching.
