Description:

The management major / minor is designed to prepare students to develop management skills to meet the need for all types of organizations; both for-profit and not-for-profit. 
Starting Fall 2009, students will have the option to add a sports managment track to their managment major.

What types of students succeed in this program?

Students interested acquiring management theory, skills and experience, to be change agents in challenging environments, while meeting difficult goals.

What can I do with this major or minor?

It will prepare students for management roles, at all levels, in various organizational settings, including business, government, education and not-for-profit organizations.

What are some of internships or partnerships with this program?

An internship of 6 credit hours is required to allow students to involve themselves in a hands-on position, where they actually apply the management theory learned in the classroom. 
 

What is the future outlook with a degree in this area?

There is a continuing need for managers who can effectively and efficiently manage resources to accomplish the organization goals within budget. The need exists in every segment of the economy, and is only likely to increase.
