Description:
Students who major in Bible and/or Religion will master the basic content of Scripture and the way in which the Bible "works." They will learn the metanarrative of Creation, Fall, Redemption as a paradigm for understanding God's revelation.
What types of students succeed in this program?
Students who pursue a major in Bible are bright individuals who have a passion for the word of God and seeing Christ formed in the lives of believing individuals and communities. The will have a heart for God and a heart for people.
What can I do with this major or minor?
With a major in Bible the student will be prepared for entry level positions in ministry, and also prepared for graduate school and/or seminary.

Possible internships include positions in churches, camps, juvenile homes, mission boards and agencies, publishing houses, and other para-church ministries.
What is the future outlook with a degree in this area?
The Bible major can expect to see many viable career opportunities. This is in part due to the fact that ministry needs are always with us. In addition, specialty areas such as youth ministry are flourishing and present career opportunities as well.
