What is a social worker?
Social workers are people who care about people, who want to make things better, who want to relieve suffereing, and who want their work to make a difference. Social work is a profession devoted to helping people function the best they can in their envrionment. This can mean providing direct services to individuals and families as well as working to improve social conditions. For many Christians, social work is the ideal conduit to live out their faith in a practical and meaningful way and in a variety of settings.
