Contemporary Christian Music Ensembles
Red Letter Edition
• Small, elite group consisting of the best musicians in the CCM program
• Touring group that performs in churches
• Specializes in worship and contemporary Christian music
• Each member of the ensemble receives a stipend
There are a number of other small CCM ensembles at Cornerstone University, including worship bands and a variety of contemporary Christian music bands.
Successful CCM students are knowledgeable of the contemporary Christian music industry, participate in a number of ensembles or bands, and are often involved in multiple worship opportunities in churches, youth groups or other ministry venues. CCM students gain experience and musical training in order to obtain a full-time job in the industry or in churches.
Students can work in the music business as musicians and songwriters, serve in the local church, record and perform as solo artists or with touring groups.
Many students serve as interns in worship and creative arts departments in churches, at local recording studios and production facilities, or with other para-church ministry organizations. Students also have the opportunity to apply for the semester away program at the Contemporary Christian Music Center at Martha's Vineyard focusing on performance, recording, songwriting and music business.
New artists and songwriters continue to emerge in this area of the music industry. Students who are creative, disciplined, tenacious and develop a sound business plan can succeed as working music professionals.
