Description:

Students who study philosophy will explore and interact with the development of philosophical tradition(s) from the basic of a Christian worldview.  Disciplines such as critical thinking, moral reflection, and intellectual dialogue are cultivated in order to engage in the intellectual spirits of the age, to develop a distinctly Christian approach to philosophy and to develop an appreciation of the life and mind.

What types of students succeed in this program?

Students of philosophy will analyze and critique historical philosophy, engage in philosophical discussion, construct valid and sound arguments, and recognize fallacious thinking.

What can I do with this major or minor?

With a major in philosophy you will be able to work in ministry or prepare for graduate school.
