Comments:

The Humanities Division, and in particular the English and Philosophy majors, give students the best opportunity to get the classical liberal arts education that has been at the heart of the Western intellectual tradition for thousands of years, but has lately become embattled by the obsession with colleges as places of job-training. If someone wants to be educated in the traditional sense, the study of the 'Great Works' of our past and present is the best conceivable way to prepare for the future as redemptive agents in God's Kingdom.
