Career Path

I have taught at Cornerstone University since 1999.

Academic History & Involvements:

An active composer and producer, my work has been heard on national syndicated radio programs and in several local and regional radio and TV advertisements. I work in the greater West Michigan area as a professional keyboard player / pianist, accompanist, and director / conductor for musical theater productions. I serve as Music Director for Blythefield Hills Baptist Church in Rockford, MI where I have premiered two full-length musical productions.

Intro to Music Technology, Jazz History and Theory, Basic and Advanced Recording Studio Techniques, Sequencing, Scoring, Applied Piano, Music Theory (including pop and jazz theory), Songwriting, Applied Piano, Recording Studio Techniques, and other music technology courses

Personal Information:

I am married to Bekah and have four children – Katie, Kristen, Daniel, and Drew.

Other Interests & Pursuits:

Reading science fiction / fantasy novels; building computers

Comments:

The Bachelor of Music degree in Performance with an emphasis in Contemporary Christian Music is a distinctive program. It is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music and offers excellent training in technology and performance techniques for popular and contemporary music.
