Career PathPrior to joining Cornerstone in 2002, I worked in the field of education for 10 years. At Cornerstone, I started working in the Teacher Education Department in an administrative capacity and moved into the position of adjunct instructor and Writing Center Coordinator in 2005.
Academic History & Involvements:
My interest in education grew from my desire to help students with reading difficulties. I worked for the Specialized Language Development (SLD) Center in Grand Rapids for four years teaching reading and writing skills to students with learning disabilities. I have also completed the coursework to be a reading specialist.

I enjoy reading, writing, sailing, and kayaking.
Comments:
Cornerstone is a wonderful place for students to grow spiritually and intellectually, and learning to write well can be an important part of this process. My desire is to help all students learn excellence in writing and to challenge them to achieve their goals and glorify God.
