CLC 100: Learning Strategies
An individualized course designed to provide studnets with the basic skills needed for success in college. The emphasis is on time management, test taking, learning strategies applying holistic balance of mind, body and spirit.
Learning Support
• Links to managing your time, reading textbooks and taking lecture and class notes, where and how to study, managing stress and anxiety, etc.
• Environment analysis of your study locations.
• Learning-style self-tests, online workshops and handouts on test preparation, time management, note-taking, overcoming text anxiety and stress management.
Math Support
• Math Magic: problem solving questions.
• InterAct Math lets you choose a textbook from Pearson and select exercises to work online for practice. An unlimited number of exercises are available for practice, along with tutorials on how to do the problems.
• Math Forum: a list of several math resources listed by topic.
• Ask Dr. Math: post questions to be answered by an expert or check out other people's questions that have already been answered.
Writing Support
• University of Minnesota Center for Writing: good strategies for writing papers and helpful resources for citations.
• Purdue's Online Writing Lab: materials and resources for writing, along with FAQs about writing.
• The University of West Florida Writing Lab: writing advice, writing aids and many more helpful resources for writing.
Disability Support
• Recordings for the Blind and Dyslexic: the national educational library for those with print disabilities.
• Dragon Naturally Speaking: order top-of-the-line voice recognition software.

• National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped
• CNIB Library for the Blind: this is an online library for the blind from the Canadian National Library for the Blind.
