The mission of Student Disability Services at Cornerstone University is to partner with students to provide equal access to a quality university education in a community where Jesus Christ is held as preeminent and learning is viewed as a natural response to his work in our lives. Further, we strive to be a valuable and informed resource to students, families and the campus community by promoting accommodation, access and inclusion of all people.

The Student Disability Services complies with ADA 1990.

If you have a disability that necessitates academic accommodations or specific supports on campus, you must complete the following steps:

1. Contact the SDS at the Cornerstone University Learning Center, located in Miller Hall.

2. Complete an Application for Services, including signing a release that allows related professionals access to records. All records are kept confidential.

3. Provide thorough documentation of your disability. Documentation must be provided by a psychologist, physician or other specialist in your area of disability. Documentation must include a specific diagnosis and specific recommendations for academic adjustments and accommodations.

4. Documentation will be reviewed by our accommodations officer and the Accommodations Review Committee. All students must have signed a release to allow these reviews.

5. After documentation has been reviewed and accepted, you will meet with the SDS director to develop your Individualized Student Accommodation Plan. The ISAP outlines your specific accommodations and is an agreement between you and Cornerstone University.

6. Each semester, students will be provided with Green Verification Letters to give to each professor.
