Why CU/GRTS?
I began at CU because of their Aviation program, which was
unique at that time. Later, I began the
master’s program at GRTS because of my desire to further develop a Christian
worldview that would empower me to serve within God’s kingdom, regardless of
the context.
Influential Contributions:
Dr. Hoch transformed my understanding of the Bible and
theology through his Old and New Testament biblical theology classes. His
service on an ethics panel and work with hospice caring for AIDS patients were
powerful examples to me. I was forever
marked by seeing God’s hope, truth and peace contextualized into real life
through Dr. Grier’s example.
How Have Experienced Prepared You:
As our culture becomes more complex and change compounds at
blinding speed, I continue to draw upon the skills and theological foundations
that were laid at CU and GRTS.
What You Want Others to Know:
My wife, Kristi, and I have been a part of planting the
church where I currently serve. We are
partnered with Converge USA. Through
that network we have teamed to plant another church and continue to network for
launching more churches in the future.
We are seeing growth in our ministry and are reaching people far from
God. These have been the most
challenging and exciting days of our lives.
What Would You Share:
CU and GRTS are great schools for pursuing an authentic
faith and ministry that integrates into real life.
