How Was Your Life Transformed:
My desire to know well the content I would be teaching was fostered by the history professors I encountered.  They were active in the field of research and archaeology.  They did not simply sit by and teach from their existing knowledge, they pushed to continue to learn and have their understanding grow.  Seeing that in seasoned professors like Dr. Carroll and Dr. Cole was inspiring.

Influential Contributions:
Professor Rosier (now Dr.) gave me a goal and a standard to set my sights on. I saw in her a faith I wanted to share in and a teaching style I wanted to emulate. She was pursuing her Ph.D. at the time and raising young children, and yet she managed to make sure her students and content received not only proper attention, but undivided and caring attention. I still model much of her teaching and her strategies everytime I am in a classroom.

How Have Your Experiences at CU Prepared You:
Cornerstone University's education program prepared me well for the classroom and school community. Professor McAdams' ability to make student teaching a powerful learning experience was remarkable. All the professors I was privileged to be taught by took a vested interest in me and affirmed my teaching gifts and my style. Many of the professors remained available to me post graduation as I started my first job and as I pursued a further degree and teaching placement.
