As the fall season winds down, the Golden Eagles are trying to play some better golf and they did just that today at Fellows Creek Golf Course which is the home course of Madonna University. The team posted a team total of 306, but still found themselves looking up at the leaders as they finished behind Davenport (302) and Aquinas and Madonna who both shot 303. Golf Team Struggles Without One of its Top Golfers

The CU Men's golf team had to go into battle today without one of their most consistent performers Chase Vandenberg, who went into the hospital late last night with an emergency apendectomy. The team struggled without the junior, who has had a solid season thus far, as they posted a team score of 324 at Concordia's Polo Fields Golf Club. After a dissapointing finish to their round on Wednesday at home, the Golden Eagles golf team came back strong at Siena Heights (Lenawe Country Club) with a solid team score of 295. They finished in 2nd place behind conference front-runner Davenport University who came in with ateam total of 293. Kaler Earns Medalist Honors as Team Finishes 3rd at Indiana Wesleyan

The men's golf team finished 3rd out of 9 teams at the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational scoring 613 for the weekend (303 Friday, 313 Saturday). Senior Andy Kaler capped off an impressive weekend as he earned medalist honors for the first time in his career with a two day total of 145. After a solid 73 on Friday, Andy followed it up with a even par 72 on Saturday. He was followed by ChaseVandenBurg (78),Ryan Zwier (78), BrendonJohnson (82) andBenMounts (87).
