"On Feb 22 the men's and women's golf teams partnered with the Other Way Ministry in West Town Grand Rapids to provide an appreciation dinner for staff and neighborhood families.The teams purchased, prepared, decorated, and served a catered Lasagna dinner complete with homemade cheesecake for dessert.The evening gave opportunity to meet new friends, serve a Jesus meal, and even play with kids while learning a bit about inner city ministry and it's people.Plus everyone had a lot of fun!"

In the second to the last Jamboree of the WHAC season CU finds themselves in the hunt for second place with Madonna. On Friday, Oct. 3 the Golden Eagles finished third one stroke ahead of Madonna and one stroke behind Indiana Tech with a team score of 311. Davenport won the Jamboree with a 295 on the day. With only two Jamboree's left in the season Cornerstone is third in the WHAC with a Madonna holding a slim three stroke lead over the Golden Eagles and based on the points earned only a two point lead heading into the final week of conference play. Cornerstone finished in second place one stroke behind league leader Davenport. Alex Lanning, Josh Mick and Chet Vandenberg finished 2nd shooting a 73 on the day. The team shot a 294 for the day. CU will host the 6th Jamboree at Quail Ridge on Friday.

The Golden Eagles shot a school record two day total of 297-290 for a total of 587 to win the tournament.. That is the lowest two day total in the history of the program.
