Eric Campbell
Eric Campbell is in his thrd season as the golf coach at Cornerstone University . Campbell has coached at the High School level for 4 years where he has coached one all-stater and numerous all-conference performers. Campbell, a resident of Grand Haven, owns a golf retail store in West Michigan called “Grip and Rip Golf” and is a certified teaching professional as well as master club-fitter. He is also the Director of Golf at Clearbrook Golf Club in Saugatuk, MI. Campbell played basketball at Grand Rapids Baptist College from 1986-1988 and finished his college education at Madonna University where he earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice. He also served as an assistant varsity basketball coach at Grace Bible College from 1999-2002.
Campbell ’s passion and desire has been to build a career in coaching and teaching the game of golf. “I love the opportunities and the challenges of coaching at the college level. Golf is a difficult game, and to help manage and see the success of the players as we strive to be the best we can brings an excitement and joy to my heart.” states Campbell . “I know we have a young team with a lot of talent and hopefully we can fill in a few pieces that will enable us to make a run at winning a WHAC championship, as well as a run at national exposure.”
Campbell has been married to his wife Rachel for 10 years and they have a three year old daughter Samantha who will some day carry the Golden Eagle golf bag.
