St. Xavier Drops Cornerstone

The St. Xavier men's soccer team improved to 3-1 overall with a 3-0 shut-out of the Golden Eagles (1-3). The teams held a 0-0 tie in the first half before St. Xavier scored in the 46th minute on a straight on kick from 7 yards out, followed by a give and go from 10 yards out in the 74th minute and then once again in the 77 minutes. Cornerstone posted 6 shots on goal with two apiece coming from Matt Osorio and Brian Nimmo. The young Cornerstone team has had 4 games to tune-up for an important conference match-up with Siena Heights 3:00 on Saturday. Click here for stats.
