Late Goal Edges Golden Eagles is Conference Opener

The Cornerstone men's soccer team opened their  WHAC season  on  Saturday with a hard fought loss to visiting Siena Heights.  The Golden Eagles played 93 minutes of scoreless ball before Saint senior Joel Parrish knocked in the only goal of the day from 12 yards out. 

For the contest, both teams had near scores in regulation as Cornerstone outshot Siena Heights 11-8.  Each team finished with three shots on goal.  Dan Kerstan had two saves in the net before allowing the scramble goal which dropped the Golden Eagles to 1-4 on the year. 

The Cornerstone men will look to end their four game skid when they host the Panthers of Davenport on Wednesday at 4:00.
