
AS A JUNIOR: Played in 13 games with 11 starts…came back after suffering a fractured orbital (face) injury in Robert Morris home opener…1 goal and 1 assist…scored against Concordia in a 1-1 tie at home…assisted on a Nate Wood in a 2-1 loss to Rochester…member of 2008 WHAC All Academic Team….2008 Daktronics-NAIA Academic All American team. …was named as a 2009 Team Captain
AS A SOPHOMORE: Played in 19 games with 15 starts…1st collegiate goal was scored against Cardinal Stritch in a 3-2 loss…scored vs. Indiana Wesleyan in 4-1 loss…picked up lone assist in 3-2 win vs. Siena Heights…Ben played in the back as well as the midfield this year.
AS A FRESHMAN: Ben started in and played in all 20 games as a freshman….1st collegiate start as an outside back came against Trinity International in 0-0 tie…very creative player that used his attacking skills out of the back….1st collegiate assist came vs. Indiana Tech in a 3-1 victory…key member of 2008 WHAC Regular Season and Tournament Championship team.
HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: a 4 year starter for Lowell High School…a 3 year All Conference player (’03, ’04, ’05), All District in ’04 and 1st Team All State in 2005… helped lead Lowell to 2004 OK White Conference Championship and 2002 District Championship…won 2005 Scholar Athlete Award…played 7 years for Grand Valley Soccer Club and won State Cup in 2005- Born 3/7/88, Son of Dale and Jan Hanson
