Matt Haskins--(Maple Grove, MN/ Fourth Baptist High School)
· Transferred to CU in large part because of the quality of our T&F program. He leaves here having significantly elevated the men’s T&F team.
· He concludes his career on the Cornerstone top ten lists in 21 events, 9 for indoor track and 12 for outdoor track
· He holds school records in arguably the two toughest events, the Heptathlon and the Decathlon
· A four-time NAIA national qualifier coming into this year, he secured his fifth trip to the national championships last weekend, by winning the decathlon at the Hillsdale College Gina Relays for the second year in a row.
· All-American in the decathlon in 2007 and 2008, he’s looking for his third straight All-American award at the end of this month.
· His positive outlook, tremendous work ethic and determination made him a natural choice for team captain this year and his strong example of servant leadership will be greatly missed.
