Scott Brings Home First National Title In Track

Derek Scott won the first National Title in Track & Field for Cornerstone today in the 1500 Meter Run. Scott took the lead early in the race but fell behind in the middle before regaining the lead late in the race and outran the field over the last 100 meters to bring home the title. Cornerstone has had many individuals finish second over the years but he is the first to come in first at the NAIA National Championships. Scott ran a 3:45.50 and outran Daniel Roberts of Cedarville by .69 seconds. The win …
