Kenny Tuffelmire

Continuing in the pipeline of Grant athletes to compete for Cornerstone T&F, Kenny Tuffelmire will compete for the Golden Eagles in the jumping events. A 2007 MHSAA Division 2 state qualifier in the high jump, Kenny brings in personal best marks of 6’6 in the high jump and 21’0 in the long jump. “We are thrilled to have Kenny as a part of Cornerstone T&F” says jumps coach Paul Koutz, “I believe that he will help carry on the tradition of good high jumpers here at CU.” Kenny plans on studying Sports Administration at CU.

 

Adam Duerksen

Cornerstone T&F is pleased to announce the signing of Adam Duerksen. As a junior, Adam was the 2007 MHSAA Division 4 State Champion in both the 110H and 300H. His personal best marks are 14.8 (110H) and 38.9 (300H)for the barrier events. “I am thrilled to have a hurdler aboard with Adam’s credentials” says Hurdles coach Paul Koutz. “Adam will continue on the strong hurdle tradition here at Cornerstone and should make an immediate impact at the national level.” Adam plans to study Education while at Cornerstone.
 

Stephen Tuttle
 


Cornerstone is proud to announce their first male signee for the 2008-09 school year. Stephen Tuttle is a thrower from Wisconsin who through his junior year has recorded personal best marks of 51’0 in the shot put and 135’0 in the discus. In 2007, Stephen was the regional champion in the shot put (49’10) and runner up in the discus (135’0). Stephen is a second generation CU T&F Athlete as his father Keith, competed for CU in the mid 1980’s where he set the school record in the shot put. He plans on studying youth ministry while at CU.

 

Adam Looman


Continuing in the Northview HS pipeline to Cornerstone (Zach Ripley and Derek Scott were predecessors), CU XC/T&F is pleased to have Adam Looman aboard for next season. Adam brings with him solid credentials in the distance events where he will improve the depth of CU in both cross country and track. Adam will be graduating with a 3.5 GPA and plans to study Secondary Education.


 

 

Brad Schweitzer



Cornerstone T&F is pleased to announce another signee for the 2008-09 school year. Schweitzer comes to CU as the MHSAA Division 1 7th place finisher in the pole vault. Schweitzer brings in a career best vault of 14’5 which he achieved during the 2008 school year earning him the second best vault mark in the Greater Grand Rapids area. Schweitzer could also contribute to the Golden Eagles in some of the shorter sprinting events. He plans to study Biology/Health Sciences while at CU.
