"When I spoke with and met Maria I knew she had to be part of our team.  She has a wonderful personality and has a positive outlook on life.  She will bring an additional 3-point presence to our team as well as a high basketball I.Q.  She is athletic and has a confident presence on the floor.  She is a wonderful young lady who will represent Cornerstone well."

Why Maria chose Cornerstone
"I chose Cornerstone because I love the atmosphere, it's a comfortable place full of people who want to grow in their faith.  I feel like I connected with Coach Fles and Coach Plewes right away, they are both so easy to talk to.  I can't wait to be apart of the Cornerstone team next year."

Coach Fles
"The first time I saw Janae play I admired her tremendous work ethic and all out effort when she played.  She reminded of a former player I coached, Jenna Plewes.  She brings a defensive mindset to the team and knows how to get to the basket.  She has a fun personality but brings an intensity on the floor.  In addition, she is a great student.  She is a leader who will represent Cornerstone well."

Why Janae chose Cornerstone
"I chose to come to Cornerstone for many reasons.  Out of all the colleges I visited, my family and I felt that Cornerstone was staffed with people who truly cared about the individual and their success on and off the court.  Cornerstone will help me continue my walk with God and help me become the best person I can be.  I know that I am joining a team that will take care of me and become my extended family."
