The Golden Eagles came away with a 0-0 tie at cross-town rival Davenport after losing at home 3-0 a few weeks ago. The tie gives the Golden Eagles a 2-7-2 overall record and 2-4-1 record in league play.
The Golden Eagles controlled the game for most of the first half keeping the Panthers out of scoring position. Cornerstone finished with 10 shots to DU's 9 on the game.
Cornerstone was unable to capitalize on having one more player in the overtime after one of the players on DU's team had to go to the bench following her second yellow card. CU's Julianne Bruining came up with the save of the game with less than 3:00 minutes left in the second overtime to secure the tie.
The next WHAC match for the Golden Eagles will be on Saturday, October 10 at league leader Siena Heights at 12:30.
