Grace Kelly, a junior from Grand Rapids, MI was named to the All-American Honorable Mention Team today. Grace who played both defense and midfield as well a little forward this year had a solid season for the Golden Eagles leading the team to a 2nd place finish in the WHAC and a runner-up finish in region VIII.

The Cornerstone women's soccer team overcame close rivals, Aquinas College, in apenaltyshoot out on Wednesday afternoon. The Cornerstone woman's soccer team moved to a conference record of 7-0 on a dreary Wednesday afternoon when they defeated Indiana Tech by 2 goals to 0. Bethany Schellpfeffer was the star of the day scoring both of the Eagles' goals. The first came in the 37th minute of the first half off a deflection from the Tech goalkeeper, Melissa Koehler. Erny made some big saves to help the Golden Eagles upset #7 Ranked Madonna this past week and recorded her sixth consecutive shutout with the 1-0 victory. Erny is the third Golden Eagle to be named WHAC Player of the Week this year.
The Golden Eagles Women's Soccer team traveled to Siena Heights for a matchup with the Saints and came away with an impressive 2-0 victory. Sophomore Mary Koscielniak is the WHAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week for September 6, 2005. The Grand Haven, MI native recorded 3 goals in two games to help her team to a 1-0-1 record. In a 3-1 victory over Grace College, Mary scored twice and followed it up with a goal versus Trinity Christian on the weekend.
