Golden Eagles Come Up Short In Game 1 of WHAC Tournament

May 1, 2009

#6 Cornerstone faced #3 UM-Dearborn in their first game of the WHAC Tournament and fell 2-1.  The Golden Eagles got on the board first in the second inning on a Dinah Gruppen homer.  The Wolves also scored in the bottom half of the inning to tie the score at 1-1.  The game remained tied until the bottom of the 7th inning when Kim Lackowski homered to win the game for UM-Dearborn.  Cornerstone returns to action this afternoon at 5:00 p.m. when they will face Concordia.
