Farrell Picks Up His 200th Victory In 8-0 Win Against Concordia

The Golden Eagles exploded with five runs in the top of the 6th inning to go up 8-0 and held the Cardinals scoreless in the bottom half of the inning to defeat the Cardinals and eliminate them from the double elimination tournament today.  Coach Jim Farrell picked up his 200 win as Head Coach of the Golden Eagles with the win.  Christy Chapman hit a three run double to and later scored on a wild pitch to account for four of the five runs in the inning.  Cornerstone scored one run in the 1st and two runs in the 2nd on all singles and a few errors by the cardinals.  Kaycee Kuiper pitched a complete game four hitter for the Golden Eagles.  Cornerstone advances to play Davenport in another elimination game later today.
