WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
After going 1 for 2 on Friday at the Malone-Walsh Tournament Cornerstone end the weekend doing the same thing on Saturday. The first match vs. UNOH (University Northern Ohio) was decided in 5 games. Unfortunately the Golden Eagles were on the losing end winning the first two games 28-26, 25-23 only to drop the final three 19-25, 22-25, 10-15. Katie McKee returned to the lineup, after sitting out the last few weeks due to an ankle injury suffered in California, to notch a team high 18 kills. Kim Totten had a team high 2 aces, Marcie Blacquiere finished with 46 assists and Becky Albrecht had 2 blocks.
CU finished the day with a 3-1 (25-17, 23-25, 25-10, 25-21) win over Daemen NY. Alicia TerHaar led the team with a season high 21 kills and added 2 blocks. Kayla Wilson finished with 12 digs, Kim Totten continues to serve strong added 4 aces and Blacquiere dished out 42 assists. Cornerstone posts an 8-11 overall record and hosts two home conference matches next week beginning with UM-Dearborn on Tuesday and Madonna on Thursday both at 7pm.
