Golden Eagles Split on First Day of St. Francis Invite.

The volleyball team defeated the host St. Francis Ill. 3-1 (25-16,22-25, 25-20,25-23) in the first match of the St. Francis Ill. Invitational. Alicia TerHaar led the team with 18 kills on 37 attempts for a .459 hitting average. Holly Cousins finished with 14 kills, Katie McKee added 12 and Becky Albrecht finished with 12. Cousins led the team with 21 digs. Seter Marcie Blacquiere dished out 53 assists and the team finished with a .268 hitting percentage. The Golden Eagles found themselves on the losing end 0-3 (21-25, 18-25, 21-25) to St. Ambrose in the second match of the evening. The team finished with a .132 hitting percentage and no player had double figure kills. Becky Albrecht as the kill leadder with 6. She also added a team high 10 digs. Blacquiere finished with 19 assists. CU continues play on Saturday vs. Ill. Tech and St. Xavier.
