The mission of seven.thirty.seven is to promote awareness and appreciation of local and/or independent musicians by presenting live concerts on the Cornerstone campus. We seek to enhance the artistic culture of the student body as well as provide opportunities for Cornerstone artists to develop their craft.
Our first goal towards accomplishing our mission is to put on at least two concerts per semester which would expose the Cornerstone community to national and local music acts, as well as to host one open mic night to allow aspiring Cornerstone musicians to display their talent. We also intend to use these shows as a means to spread awareness of the organization and encourage students, especially underclassmen, to get involved with seven.thirty.seven, and student organizations in general.
To accomplish these goals, we seek to bring bands and artists to the campus that will not only generate student interest, but also be examples of unique musical artistry. We actively promote these concerts, using various available means, both on and off the Cornerstone campus. Schedule allowing, seven.thirty.seven also presents at least one chapel service per year to provide students with a unique worship experience. Finally we intend to
work closely with Cornerstone Admissions to present at least one concert as part of the program for student visitation and/or family orientation days. This will expose incoming or prospective students to our organization and student life.
