Socially Aware Students

Mission Statement:

To bring awareness of the social needs in our world to the Cornerstone University Community.

SAS Slogan : Raising Awareness to Inspire Service

Vision:

To empower students to be socially active through their awareness. We want to make students aware of the issues that are going on around them, during meetings we want to discuss the things that may affect us and the world we live in. Keeping them updated through e-mail and through meetings about issues.

Upcoming Events:

This Thursday, November 13 at 6pm, SAS will be meeting in the Miller Hall Conference room. The agenda includes ordering your SAS T-Shirt for a mere $3 (The social work program is picking up the rest of the tab!), planning for SAS / Social Work Program Christmas Party and Caroling Event, and fund raiser for the SAS Memphis mission trip.

SAS / Social Work Program Christmas Party is Wednesday, Dec. 3 (time and location to be announced). It will involve traveling to Pilgrim Manor to bring some holiday cheer to the residents there and then back to campus for more celebrating :)

Hope you will strongly consider your involvement with SAS! Get a t-shirt and promote the ministry of SAS!

Throughout the semester look for our events on the CUBE and on the University Calendar.
