First Mission Trip of the Fall
to Reach Out to
Critically-Ill Children
|
Little Mary's has offered free vacations to over 2000 critically-ill children and their families in the past 25 years, some coming from as far away as Jamaica, the Netherlands, and Romania. Over 45 Cornerstone students have served at Little Mary's in the past 3 years, several of them more than once.

This fall, you have two opportunities to minister at a unique ministry which offers free vacations to families with children battling life-threatening, terminal, and debilitating illnesses.
SEPTEMBER 21-22 & OCTOBER 19-20Cost is only $20* per person. The camp is less than two hours drive from campus and is one of only TWO such ministries in the nation (the other is modeled after this one). In the past 3 years, 48 Cornerstone University students have gone on one or more of these mission trips.
We need: drivers*, cooks, worship musicians, and anyone with a heart for sick and dying children.
*Cost is divided $10 for food and $10 for gas. Drivers only pay $10 to go and receive $10 from each passenger in their vehicle toward gas/mileage.

Here are some reflections from Little Mary's mission team members:

“I thought it was great! I enjoyed meeting new people and serving together. It helped me get back into service and reminded me how much it can really do for your relationship with God. It was a bright time with lots of new things and a new environment. There was so much love and I just felt really comfortable the whole time."

"I had an awesome time this weekend. I felt so driven by God to get everything done on that list and when we did, that gave me even more energy to get more things finished. I have changed socially the most. Just living with 4 other people that I didn’t know and then working with different people also was a huge difference. I have also become a lot closer to God and this was my first Missions Trip and it was an awesome experience that I will NEVER forget!"

“This weekend took me out of my comfort zone by putting me with a bunch of people I didn’t know. I knew a few people who were going, but not real well. It made me open up to people and get to know them better. It was a nice experience.”
~Michelle Cary, freshman |
“Highlight - building the fire pit with my crew, and just getting all the work done; Low point - being tired.”
~Janelle Horton, sophomore |

"I think the weekend was a great experience and if offered I would take it again"

"Wherever there is pain, suffering, desperation - Jesus is, and that's where His people belong.
Among the least of these, we find the close connection to Christ that every Christian heart seeks."
