B-When in doubt walk or travel with a partner. Also, carry a cell phone if possible, and always plan "a way out."
C-Before leaving your residence always ensure that it is locked behind you.
D-Always secure unattended vehicles and check the inside from the outside before entering. Never leave valuables in sight from the outside of unattended vehicles, park in well lit areas, and activate the vehicle alarm system if you have one.
PROPERTY PROTECTION:
A-Never leave cash, credit/debit cards, and/or usable personal ID in unsafe locations!
B-If you use a locker, LOCK IT!

D-If ever monetary instruments such as credit, debit, and/or charge cards end up missing and/or stolen, report the situation to the financial institution immediately. This will at the very least protect you from financial and/or credit record hardship.
SUSPICIOUS PERSONS:
A-If a person or persons doesn't look or appear right, please contact Campus Safety immediately. Chances are it will all work our fine. However, in today's times we cannot be too safe! Campus Safety would rather respond in advance 100 times to unfounded concerns, than once too late to a real concern. If you are uncomfortable walking somewhere on campus call Campus Safety for an escort.
SUSPICIOUS PACKAGES:
A-Most of us have heard "the drill" at airports and other transportation centers. The same holds true just about everywhere in today's times. NEVER ACCEPT A PACKAGE FROM ANYONE YOU DO NOT KNOW. Also, if you see a suspicious package contact Campus Safety immediately.
COMMENT:
We live in a changing world and society. We encourage everyone on our campus to communicate with us in a timely manner regarding real or just simply potential concerns.
