Dr. Joseph M. Stowell Named Cornerstone's 11th President
Cornerstone University is pleased to welcome Dr. Joseph M. Stowell as its 11th president. Dr. Stowell, who served as the president of Moody Bible Institute for 18 years and most recently as teaching pastor at Harvest Bible Chapel in suburban Chicago, began his presidential duties at Cornerstone on February 1, 2008.
“This is where my heart is now,” said Dr. Stowell of his new appointment at Cornerstone University. “I’m most excited about being around students in this generation. I look forward to getting back into the college atmosphere. I want to continue the tradition of this university being a community where students are encouraged and nurtured by the environment and culture. I want students to thrive here. It excites me that God’s hand is in it.”
