Chapel exists to challenge the community of learners to seek a deeper understanding and application of spiritual formation, worldview development, integrity, and the pursuit of one’s academic and vocational calling.

Our mission is to help students understand the nature of discipleship, demonstrate belief in discipleship, and to also lead discipleship groups. We believe that the overall effectiveness and success of discipleship at Cornerstone University is measurable by examining the commitment level of our students.

Our purpose is to organize opportunities for people to engage the world for Christ, as well as, support fellow Christians who are overseas through communication and prayer.

Chapel serves a very important, integral, broad function in students’
higher education. It becomes the nerve center for the university and helps
set the tone for the remainder of campus life. In chapel, students are
challenged to develop a consistent, meaningful, God-honoring,
Biblically-informed Christian worldview, to pursue spiritual maturity, make
godly decisions, and determine God’s calling on their life. Our goal is
for students to become reflective, spiritually mature Christians, who are
capable of fulfilling God’s calling in their lives by making a difference
as Christian leaders. Since we believe chapel to be an important component
of spiritual and personal growth at Cornerstone University, chapel
attendance is required of all students.
Chapel Curriculum
The chapel program is based on a four year chapel curriculum that focuses
on the four acts of the Christian Story: Creation, Fall, Redemption, and
Restoration. Each year chapel will focus on one particular aspect of the
story and develop that theme throughout the entire year through music,
readings, dramas, and speakers.
