Dr. Charles SwansonDean of Community Life

Dr. Charles Swanson graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in History. In 1994 he completed a Master of Theological Studies in Church History from Calvin Theological Seminary. He recently completed both a Master of Theology Degree from Calvin Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Ministry Degree from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary.
He has served in a variety of capacities at Cornerstone University, including a Residence Hall Director in both Quincer and VanOsdel Halls, Adjunct Professor, and a member of the Spiritual Formation Leadership team. His current position is Dean of Community Life.
As the Dean of Community Life, Chuck oversees the chapel program, residence and commuter life, and pastoral care.
Chuck is married to his wife, Faith, and lives in Rockford.
He has a wide range of interests including pop culture, film, television, and video games. He has a deep concern for the spiritual growth of the Cornerstone community, and has helped to redesigned the way that the Spiritual Formation meets the needs of today’s college students.
