What are Discipleship Groups?
"Discipleship groups" are small gatherings of students who intentionally meet together for two main purposes:
1. Building Community - that is, people with whom you can be yourself, hang out, and have fun with, but who will also help bear your burdens and give you a kick in the pants as needed.
2. Discipleship - or, becoming more like Jesus in the way you think, the words you say, and the way you act. This is pursued in these groups through activities like studying the Bible, prayer, accountability, and service.
When and where do discipleship groups meet?
Groups are available at various times and locations throughout the week for residential and commuter students, or a mix of both. In every section of each residence hall a group is available and is led by the section's Discipleship Coordinator (DC). Groups are also available across campus which cater to a specific topic of study or demographic of student (e.g., Spanish-speaking, athlete)
