FAQs 

1) Is this conference only for those doing church-based ESL?

No, this conference is applicable to a variety of ESL teaching contexts including k-12 classroom, adult/community ESL class, EFL classes overseas, etc. We are now able to offer 0.5 SB-CEU credits for participation in the conference.

2) What if I don’t have any experience with ESL, will this conference still be appropriate for me?

YES!  We offer this conference as a way to train and equip those who want to teach, tutor, or volunteer in various ESL contexts, regardless of background.  

3) Will there be food at the conference?

Yes, there will be a light continental breakfast available when attendees arrive in the morning (including coffee, tea, juice, fresh fruit, muffins, bagels and cream cheese). 

 A box lunch will also be included (wrap, chips, apple, candy bar, water or pop) and a vegetarian option will be available.

 

 4) Will there be a raffle held at the end like in previous years?

Yes, we are thankful to our generous exhibitors who donate samples and materials for us to give away.  

 5) Will there be  materials available to purchase at the conference?

Yes, we will have over 20 exhibitors including some ESL publishers who will make materials available to purchase.  ProLingua ESL, Cambridge University Press, and Pearson Longman ESL will have representatives available to exhibit and sell materials.
