Why did you choose to attend CU?
I knew I wanted to attend a small Christian college, and Cornerstone welcomed me warmly with open arms during my college search process. I knew right away that I could be at home here and that it would be amazing to be a part of this community. I was also impressed that faith was integrated into every aspect of the college experience and that people took the time to get to know me, even as a prospective student.
What’s your favorite part about CU?
I love the small class sizes at Cornerstone and the genuine interest staff and faculty members take in students. Professors not only want to see you grow academically, but also as a leader and in your faith. It is such a great experience to get to know your professors one-on-one and be mentored by some of the amazing Christian people on campus. The shared focus on learning and faith creates a deep sense of community unlike any other you’ll ever experience.
Who was your favorite professor and why?
Professor Scott Morter - His knowledge of and experience in the business world makes his classes challenging, enjoyable, and very interactive. More than that, Professor Morter is very intentional about investing in the lives of his students and building friendships with them that extend far beyond the classroom.
Why did you choose to work in admissions?
I love Cornerstone, and I love working with high school students, so admissions is the perfect combination of the two! I know firsthand the value of Christian higher education and how much Cornerstone impacted my life, and it’s important to me to share that story with others. I also love building relationships with people and learning their stories. The college search process is an exciting time and I want to help students and their families in any way I can as they make this significant decision.
