Where were you born?
I was born in Sohren, Germany while my dad was stationed in the USAF. Grand Rapids, MI has been my home since age 2.

What are your hobbies?
Spending time with my wife is the greatest! I enjoy expressing myself creatively through art (I will try anything once, painting, photography, graphic design, even ceramics…) I am not always the greatest, but it can be fun and rewarding! I enjoy meeting and getting to know people from all walks of life.

What’s your favorite hang-out spot in GR?
Downtown offers lots of neat experiences – Blues on the Mall, Coffee Shops, the GRAM, etc. I also really enjoy the Lakeshore, only 45 minutes away!

What’s your favorite type of music?
I honestly enjoy pretty much all types of music, depending on the time and my mood.

What’s your favorite part about CU?
There are two things: the location – being situated in Grand Rapids offers many opportunities for learning, culture, ministry, and fun! I also love the warm, friendly people that abound at Cornerstone.

Why did you choose to work in admissions?
I love to meet new people and students and I am excited about the changes and opportunities that are happening at Cornerstone.  I am looking forward to discussing how God can use Cornerstone to play an exciting role in individuals life and future.

What one piece of advice would you give to a new student?
I have to give two; 1. Get involved in something – a ministry, club, student government, theater, etc. 2. If at all possible live on campus in the dorm – so much of the college experience is about the relationships and camaraderie that are built during dorm life. College is an overall experience, not just studying, not just having fun. Take advantage of all there is to offer!
